Digital Marketer

Siobhán has worked in marketing for 20 years on both the client and agency side. Group Marketing Manager with Hoson Publications, Siobhán's career has always focused on audience communication with the emphasis on the commercial. She migrated from traditional to digital marketing just in time for the dot com bust which might explain why she is so keen on analytics and reality. Working with leading web design agency Strata3, she was head of marketing and client services before working as a digital marketing consultant for public and private sector clients in Ireland. A move to Edinburgh saw her heading up the client service function for search agency Ambergreen. Past clients include Bank of Scotland (Ireland), IDA, Norwich Union, Insure.ie, Salesjobs.ie, 11850, The Carphone Warehouse, The White Company, Natural Collection, MyTravel Group and Pokerroom.

Mara Xaneiro

Tech Associate & Geek girl

Mara has worked for the past 16 years in the IT industry. As advanced technical support engineer for Mathsoft, Macromedia, and Adobe within European multilingual call centers, she was given first hand access to the tech which underpins today's web. No technical slouch, as a web developer for Edinburgh Computer Consultants she worked on retail, corporate and enterprise level internet and intranet projects, including companies like Bodycote, Dawn Group, Britannia, Systemcare, Curries European and Wadies. She has most recently focused on providing consultancy services for e-business/e-commerce solutions from initial scope to deployment on multiple platforms & languages including ASP, PHP, XML, Flex, RIAs. Mara is one of a rare breed of tech driven professionals who understand business, allowing her to implement efficient design and development solutions that stand up to the fast moving tech and business requirements.

Andrea McDermott

Online Marketer / Designer / Client Service

Andrea has over 15 years experience in design and visual communication. With a portfolio which includes branding, magazine & publishing and online, she has a career pedigree which includes working with BBC Worldwide, Daily Telegraph, EMAP Elan and Dorling Kindersley. With a philosophy that design has to do much more than just look great, Andrea has loads of experience in communicating with audiences. In Publishing she worked on projects in a huge variety of market demographics from female specialist titles to teenagers, design trade to consumer interiors. Her focus over the last 4 years has been in the online space helping companies move from traditional branding to the very different considerations of branding online.
